This was the inaugural session, during which the youth councillors took the oath of office. The Youth Council is a civic representation of young people—students of lower- and upper-secondary schools based in Bolesławiec.
The councillors of the sixth term included: Sebastian Mihaljev, Jakub Patera (General Education School Complex No. 1), Dominika Picheta, Anna Tkacz (Construction School Complex), Mikołaj Bielawski, Adriana Buryło (General and Vocational Education School Complex), Ewa Będzińska, Dominika Ozga (Ignacy Domeyko Electronic School Complex), Jakub Przybylski, Weronika Seremak (Mechanical School Complex), Angelika Markowska, Monika Świątkowska (Municipal Lower-Secondary School No. 1), Tobiasz Burzyński, Julia Kawałko (Municipal Lower-Secondary School No. 2), Nicol Morawiec, Gabriela Szelejewska (Municipal Lower-Secondary School No. 3), Oliwia Mularczyk, Julia Pranić (Municipal Lower-Secondary School No. 4), Julia Klementowska, Magdalena Przystarz (1st Private Lower-Secondary School), Wiktor Czernigiewicz, Pablo Stachów (2nd Private Lower-Secondary School).
The executive body of the Youth Council is the Council Presidium. The presidium consists of: Sebastian Mihaljev—chairman, Mikołaj Bielawski—first deputy chairman, Anna Tkacz—second deputy chairman, and Angelika Markowska—secretary.
The Youth Council’s objectives are to:
- cooperate with student councils and represent young people’s interests before government and local-government institutions and non-governmental organisations
- shape and consolidate democratic attitudes
- promote culture, particularly culture created by and directed at young people
- work for the integration and cooperation of youth communities
- enable young people to give their opinions on decisions directly affecting the manner and quality of their lives
- organise charitable assistance by young people
- promote the idea of a clean environment.
A person who is over 13 but under 18 may serve as a Youth Council councillor. The term of the Youth Council lasts for two school years.
