The amnesty law is in force only until 15 January 2015. Applications for remission can be submitted by that date. The amnesty is available to people with arrears from contributions for their own insurance between 1 January 1999 and 28 February 2009 who are currently conducting business activity, as well as those who have ceased doing so. Only the so-called own contributions of people conducting non-agricultural business activity are subject to remission. The remission does not apply to employees’ contributions.
The only required document is a correctly completed application for remission of dues. In the case of conducting business activity, when a debt eligible for the amnesty is being pursued through enforcement proceedings, an additional form and declaration necessary for granting de minimis aid must also be submitted alongside the application for remission. The application, forms, declarations and information leaflets about the amnesty are available at ZUS offices and on the www.zus.pl website. The application may be submitted to ZUS in person or sent by post.
During the period in which the amnesty has been in force, that is, since 15 January 2013, the Legnica Branch has already received 2,118 applications.
