“Eleanor’s Secret” is a film about courage, overcoming difficulties and believing in one’s own abilities. This beautiful animated film tells a story about the magic that flows from fairy tales and children’s stories and, in an engaging way, encourages us to read books. Seven-year-old Nathaniel cannot read yet and believes that he will never master the skill. The boy loves the stories read to him by adults. His eccentric aunt Eleanor leaves her house to his parents in her will. The boy, meanwhile, inherits her library, full of old books. One day, Nathaniel discovers that the volumes provide shelter for the heroes of children’s literature. They are the original characters from the first editions of the books. It turns out that they need his help. If they leave the library, they will disappear forever along with their stories. When his parents decide to sell the books, the boy faces great dangers to save his new friends. Despite his lack of self-confidence, will he manage to complete the task?
