Students of the I General Secondary School, Przemysław Filipowicz and Wojciech Antosik, took second place in the 18th National Film Knowledge Competition. The competition final was held in Gdańsk from April 20 to 23. Thirty-three of the country's best two-person teams, selected through regional qualifiers, took part.
The boys competed in six stages (a test on world cinematography, a test on Polish cinematography, an aesthetic analysis of a film, film excerpts, film music and an essay), after which they and teams from Łódź and Gdynia were selected to take part in the final round. They finished second, behind the team from Łódź. In addition to material prizes and accreditation for the Era New Horizons film festival in Wrocław (together with their supervisor), Przemek and Wojtek were granted admission to the film studies program at Jagiellonian University in Kraków.
Przemek and Wojtek prepared for the competition under the supervision of Katarzyna Żak.
