The programme includes two nostalgic Nocturnes, Op. 55 Nos. 1 in F minor and 2 in E-flat major; the joyful Waltz in F major, Op. 34 No. 3; the virtuoso Études, Op. 10 Nos. 4 and 5; the humorous yet deeply moving Scherzo in E major, Op. 54; four Mazurkas, Op. 24, full of folk character and longing; Andante Spianato and the Grand Polonaise in E-flat major, Op. 22; and the majestic Sonata in B minor, Op. 58.

Anna Lipiak has performed at numerous venues in Poland, including Duszniki-Zdrój, the Piast Dukes’ Castle in Brzeg, the Wrocław Philharmonic, the Fryderyk Chopin Museum in Warsaw, the concert hall of the Academy of Music in Katowice, the Academy of Music in Kraków, and the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, as well as across Europe—in the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Slovakia and Italy—where she received highly positive reviews: “Her playing was distinguished by beautiful tone, control of pedalling and phrasing, a sense of security, and natural, poetic musicality” — Giornale di Brescia.

She is a laureate of numerous music competitions, including:

  • VII Concorso Nazionale di Esecuzione Musicale “Città di Piove di Sacco” (Piove di Sacco–Padua, Italy, 2014, first prize)
  • XXIV Concorso Internazionale “Camillo Togni” Gussago (Brescia, Italy, 2013, first prize)
  • International Competition “II Spring Meetings at the Piano” (Kraków, 2013, first prize)
  • XVI Grand Prix International et Rencontres Jeunes Talents (Montrond-les-Bains, France, 2013, fourth prize)
  • IX International Interpretation Competition (Ružomberok, Slovakia, 2012, first prize)
  • IX and X International Polish-German Piano Competition (Zgorzelec/Goerlitz, 2010 and 2011, third prize twice)
  • finalist in the 45th National Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw (2013).

In December 2013, she made her debut as a soloist, performing Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in F minor with the Polish Radio Orchestra conducted by Marek Moś in the concert hall of the F. Chopin University in Warsaw.

She received a scholarship from the Minister of Science and Higher Education for outstanding artistic achievements (2012, 2013), a scholarship from the rector of the University of Silesia in Katowice (2012, 2013), a distinction from the rector of the University of Silesia (2012), and a scholarship from the District Association for Supporting Talented Young People, awarded by Zgorzelec County (2006).
