Christmas is associated with many traditions passed down from generation to generation. It is the most family-oriented and warm of holidays, allowing us to feel the love and kindness of others. It is a time for family gatherings, sharing the Christmas wafer, exchanging good wishes and singing carols together beside a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. Taking care to preserve and cultivate Christmas traditions among its pupils, the staff of the Municipal Public Kindergarten No. 3 Branch organizes a kindergarten Christmas Eve celebration every year.
This year, the extraordinary celebration began with the performance of the nativity play “My Heart Sings Carols to You,” presented by the Older Children’s group. The young actors, wearing beautiful costumes prepared by their parents, recreated events from two thousand years ago with great emotion. Mary lovingly held the newborn child in her arms. The shepherds and kings presented the child with their gifts and did not leave the manger. King Herod and his knights were also present, while the devil, who caught human souls in a great net, even received an angel’s robe after his transformation. The performance was enriched by traditional Polish Christmas carols and beautiful new pastoral songs.
After the artistic performance and the exchange of good wishes, everyone sat down at the festively set table to taste Christmas Eve dishes and sing carols together. The children of the Municipal Public Kindergarten No. 3 Branch and all the staff extend their warmest Christmas wishes to all the residents of our city.
Plenty of presents beneath the green Christmas tree,
delicious food on the Christmas Eve table,
a wonderful family atmosphere,
filled with the melodies of old Polish Christmas carols
