The District Prosecutor in Zgorzelec filed an indictment with the court against 54-year-old Vietnamese citizen Nguyen Ch., accusing him of transporting approximately 850 grams of psychotropic substances in the form of methamphetamine from the Czech Republic to Poland.
On 10 October this year, Border Guard officers detained the Vietnamese man in Zawidów as he was driving a VW Passat. They found 848.54 g of a white substance in his car.
An expert determined that it was methamphetamine, from which 8,485 retail doses could be prepared.
The Vietnamese citizen, who permanently resides in the vicinity of Lubań, pleaded not guilty and refused to give an explanation.
The man was temporarily detained. He now faces up to 15 years in prison.
