Although there is still some time until Christmas, we would already like to invite you to join us for Polish-German Christmas carol singing! On the culmination day of the Silesian Christmas Market in Goerlitz, on 19 December 2014, between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., carols, pastoral songs and other Christmas melodies from the repertoires of both neighbouring countries will be performed from the stage. Meetingpoint Music Messiaen warmly invites you to participate together with your students.
As every year, the Old Market Square in Goerlitz hosts the extraordinary and unique Silesian Christmas Market, the only one of its kind in our region. As is also traditional, the Meetingpoint association would like to invite groups from primary schools, lower-secondary schools, upper-secondary schools, music schools, as well as senior citizens, to perform on a special stage and present a Christmas repertoire including carols and pastoral songs from both countries – Poland and Germany.
To sweeten and simultaneously “warm up” the young artists’ performance, the organisers have prepared hot chocolate and refreshments, as well as a ride on the winter train.
We would be delighted to welcome you and your students on the Polish-German stage during the Christmas Market. Please register your participation by email: music@themusicpoint.net or by telephone: 0049 3581 661 269.
