The operation lasted from Saturday to Monday. Police officers checked, among other things, the technical condition of vehicles, drivers’ sobriety, whether children were being transported in child seats, and whether drivers were complying with speed limits.
The sobriety of nearly one thousand drivers was checked. One person was arrested for driving while intoxicated. In addition, two driving licences and 24 registration certificates were confiscated.
More than 160 drivers were fined; in eight cases, requests for punishment were submitted to the district court. Police also caught one theft suspect.
