Police officers from Kowary and Jelenia Góra detained an 18-year-old man suspected of burglary. The incident took place during the night of 3–4 August in Kowary. The teenager stole a Skoda Fabia worth more than PLN 10,000 from an auto repair shop. The car belongs to the company’s owner.
The 18-year-old started the vehicle using the original keys. He obtained them by breaking into one of the workshop’s rooms.
The suspect tried to sell the Skoda, but was unsuccessful. The man was detained. The car was returned to its owner.
Moreover, it turned out that the detainee had also stolen a scooter worth PLN 2,500. By court decision, the man was remanded in custody for two months. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
