During the first session of the 2014–2018 term of the City Council, the councillors took their oaths of office. On that day, the newly elected councillors swore their oaths: Zdzisław Abramowicz, Bogdan Biernat, Adam Biesiadecki, Leszek Chudzik, Ariel Fecyk, Dariusz Filistyński, Renata Fredyk, Eugeniusz Jabłoński, Jan Jasiukiewicz, Łukasz Jaźwiec, Piotr Klasa, Eugeniusz Kowalski, Jarosław Kowalski, Arkadiusz Krzemiński, Łukasz Molak, Dariusz Mucha, Alojzy Skóra, Mirosław Sołtyszewski, Stanisław Wiącek. Andrzej Żuk was absent and will take the oath at the next session.
In a secret ballot, the Council elected its chair and two deputy chairs. Jarosław Kowalski became Chair of the Bolesławiec City Council, while Alojzy Skóra and Renata Fredyk became his deputies.
On 1 December 2014, Piotr Roman assumed the duties of Mayor of Bolesławiec. He assumed office upon taking the following oath before the Council: “Upon assuming the office of mayor, I solemnly swear that I will remain faithful to the law and exercise the office entrusted to me solely for the public good and the prosperity of the city’s residents.” The oath can be viewed on the municipal office’s website.
