Yesterday, we reported on animals that were burned alive in a pet store. Police determined that a break-in had occurred before the fire. One of our readers, Dawid Rutyna, has organized a fundraiser to help the store’s owners. Donations are being collected at zrzutka.pl.

“The information about the fire moved most of the residents of Bolesławiec. Personally, I read it with disbelief and great sorrow, not only because of the enormous financial losses, but also because more than 60 animals died innocently in terrible agony,” writes Dawid Rutyna.

The minimum donation is PLN 1. The campaign will run until the end of January. The organizer wants to raise PLN 5,000. If the insurer covers the entire amount, 100 percent of the money will be donated to a shelter chosen by the store’s owners.

Our editorial team will offer the store one month of free advertising on the Istotne.pl portal.

Twenty rats, two rabbits, four chinchillas, 20 hamsters, a lizard, two snakes and fish died in Wednesday’s fire. Investigators have not ruled out arson.
