On November 26, we reported that at around 5:11 a.m. on road no. 94 in Zebrzydowa (Nowogrodziec gmina), a passenger-car driver lost control of the vehicle, left the road and hit a tree.

It turned out that several hours earlier, an even more serious road accident had occurred in the same locality. On November 25, at around 11:00 p.m., the 26-year-old driver of an Opel Astra lost control of the vehicle near a railway crossing and crashed into a street lamp.

Three residents of Nowogrodziec gmina were travelling in the car. Only the 30-year-old passenger was injured in the accident. The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The Opel driver was drunk. He had 1.6 per mille of alcohol in his bloodstream. He was taken to police custody. He will now face trial for his actions.
