Neighbors informed the police that someone was trying to break into a single-family house. The man tried to get inside through a forced-open window. He was scared off by the neighbors’ screams.
The thief was arrested several streets away. It turned out that the 35-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra had been convicted several times for burglaries and thefts. In total, he spent 11 years in prison.
He usually acted in the same way—forcing open a window on the lowest floor. He stole all valuable items of small size: jewelry, laptops, electronic equipment, and money.
The 35-year-old was placed in police custody. It turned out that he had also carried out his criminal activities in other counties of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. He now faces up to 10 years in prison.
