“Gazeta Wrocławska” reports that, according to data from three polling districts, the incumbent Rafał Gronicz is leading the race for mayor. Unofficially, Gronicz is about 3–5 percentage points short of winning in the first round. His opponent in a possible runoff will be Sławomir Zawada.
In Bogatynia, however, the matter appears rather clear. According to votes counted from one-third of all polling districts, incumbent mayor Andrzej Grzmielewicz has almost 70 percent support.
In the Węgliniec Municipality, everything indicates that the main contest in the runoff will be between Jakub Sochoń and Stanisław Mikołajczyk.
In the Zgorzelec Municipality, meanwhile, Mirosław Celuch and Piotr Machaj will face each other in the runoff.
