Piotr Żak did not answer the phone, while Maciej Małkowski refused to comment.

– From the beginning, I was counting on nothing; I only wanted to present our committee. If I received 1% and the Platform candidate received 9%, then I achieved that without spending a single złoty – Przemysław Moszczyński said in turn.Przemysław Moszczyński.

We prepared our first poll connected with local elections in 2006. At that time, we accurately predicted that Piotr Roman (then still running on behalf of PiS) and Karol Stasik (Civic Platform) would meet in the second round. We published some of the results on election day itself – on Sunday, November 12, 2006, shortly before 9:00 p.m.

Two days later, it turned out that we had pinpointed the incumbent mayor’s support perfectly. The results of the other candidates differed slightly from the official figures. In the elections to the city and county councils, the discrepancies between the poll and the official results were greater. This was related to the fact that voters voted for specific names rather than committees. They then had trouble telling the interviewer the name of the committee they had voted for.

In 2010 – for the second time in Bolesławiec’s history – the “Istotne Informacje” website and newspaper organized an exit poll, meaning a poll among people who had voted in the election. Our interviewers surveyed nearly 1,200 residents of Bolesławiec. In that year’s election for mayor of Bolesławiec, according to our poll, Piotr Roman crushed his competitors (that is, he won in the first round), receiving more than 65 percent of the vote. And, just as four years earlier, the results we obtained matched the official results announced later perfectly.
