Next year, specialist equipment will be purchased for the firefighting and rescue units of the State Fire Service in Lower Silesia. Firefighters will be able to use modern fire engines designed for firefighting operations in forested areas.

The equipment will go to three counties of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship: Bolesławiec County, Polkowice County and Zgorzelec County. “As part of the project, the following will be purchased: a 42-metre-reach aerial ladder with a thermal imaging camera (SD-42), an operations van with equipment (SOp), and two reconnaissance and rescue vehicles with firefighting modules for operations in forests (SLRR),” says the voivodeship marshal, Cezary Przybylski.

The equipment will be financed through the State Fire Service Provincial Headquarters’ project “Safe Lower Silesia – strengthening the fire protection system of Natura 2000 areas – the Lower Silesian Forests.” Project value: PLN 3,151,800. Funding value: PLN 2,679,030
