Jelenia Góra’s celebrations began with a concert at the Lower Silesian Philharmonic (7 November), and will conclude on 15 November with the 2nd Karkonosze Independence Ball – see the detailed programme of the celebrations.
To commemorate the 96th anniversary of Poland regaining its independence, the amber illumination familiar to everyone was replaced with the national colours for the duration of the celebrations.
The colour change in Town Hall Square had already been noticed last year and was met with positive reactions and comments.
