Officers from the Criminal Division of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra detained a man suspected of illegally growing cannabis and possessing a significant quantity of drugs. The suspect is a 56-year-old resident of one of the localities in Jelenia Góra County.
On the property belonging to the 56-year-old (in various locations), officers found and secured more than 49 kilograms of dried marijuana, packed in cartons and crates. In the attic, there was a facility equipped, among other things, with air conditioners, air filters and lamps. All of this was used to grow cannabis.
The value of the secured marijuana is nearly one million zlotys. By court decision, the 56-year-old was remanded in custody for two months. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
