The Colorful Independence Parade, ending with Legnica residents forming a “living flag,” the release of more than a thousand balloons carrying wishes for Poland and Legnica, historical reenactments of Marshal Piłsudski’s appointment as Chief of State and of the Warsaw Uprising battle, family cockade-making workshops, presentations by the military and uniformed services, concerts, shows and food tastings – these are just some of the attractions planned for 11 November in Legnica. On that day, President Tadeusz Krzakowski warmly invites all Legnica residents to a great Patriotic Picnic.

The picnic will begin at 11:00 a.m. and last until the evening. Together, we will celebrate Poland’s regaining of independence. The organizers invite entire families, older and younger people, and children, because everyone will find something for themselves at the Picnic. Admission to all events and tastings is free.
