From Friday, 7 November, the programme features four premieres:

  • “Obywatel”, with Jerzy and Maciej Stuhr in a deft bittersweet satire of contemporary Poland
  • “Gottland”, a feature-length documentary based on Mariusz Szczygieł’s bestselling collection of reportage
  • “Dzień dobry, kocham cię”, a funny story full of surprising twists about two young people whose lives we follow from their chance meeting to an equally unexpected separation
  • “Interstellar”, Christopher Nolan’s new work, a philosophical and scientific journey to a distant galaxy where the protagonists seek salvation for the human species

For the youngest viewers, accustomed to Saturday mornings, the “Poranek na bis” series returns in a new format as “Dzieciaki na horyzoncie”. On the second Saturday of November, the exceptional animated film “Moja mama jest w Ameryce i spotkała Buffalo Billa” (8 November, 12:15), a film that has won numerous awards at children’s festivals, addresses difficult yet extremely important subjects in an extraordinary way suited to young viewers’ age.

The programme also includes a screen adaptation of Henryk Sienkiewicz’s work, “Potop Redivivus” by Jerzy Hoffman, in a digitally restored version shortened to 185 minutes. A notable recommendation for this title is the Honorary Patronage of the President of the Republic of Poland, granted to the National Reading of Henryk Sienkiewicz’s Trilogy and the film’s premiere.
