The arrest took place on October 31. Zgorzelec police officers detained a 39-year-old resident of Zgorzelec who had stolen four mobile phones. Each time, the scenario was the same: taking advantage of employees’ inattention in stores at Zgorzelec shopping centers, the man sneaked into back rooms and stole the most expensive phones. As he explained, he later sold them to random people.
The man committed his first such theft in March this year. He now faces up to five years in prison.
