As two Legnica police officers were returning to the station after carrying out official duties in the city, their attention was drawn to a passenger car parked on one of the streets. The vehicle was positioned so as not to attract attention, and its driver was sitting inside. Suspecting that the vehicle had been stolen, the officers blocked it.
It turned out that a 28-year-old resident of Legnica was inside. He had been detained several times for drug possession. The officers therefore thoroughly searched the entire car. Their suspicions were confirmed—they found nearly 500 doses of marijuana.
The driver was taken into police custody. He now faces up to 10 years in prison.
