A police duty officer received information that decorations, candles, cups and other items worth more than PLN 440 in total had been stolen from a stand in one of Legnica’s shopping centres. The thief took advantage of the fact that the stand had been left unattended.
The theft was recorded by video surveillance cameras. Police officers watched the recording and noticed that the suspect was entering the shopping centre again.
The 20-year-old resident of a neighbouring municipality was detained. The man had previously been in conflict with the law. He now faces up to 5 years in prison.
