At this special celebration for the school community, held on Friday, September 26, among those attending were veterans, Zgorzelec County governor Artur Bieliński, Senator of the Republic of Poland Jan Michalski, and deputy mayor of the City and Municipality of Pieńsk Małgorzata Sokołowska.
The artistic programme prepared by the school’s students referred to the September battles against the occupier in 1939.
At the end of the ceremony, bouquets of flowers were laid beneath the plaque commemorating the Heroic Polish Soldiers Who Fought in Defence of the Homeland in 1939.
