Police officers from the Criminal Department of Police Station I in Jelenia Góra detained a 35-year-old man. The suspect first repaired the injured woman’s car together with her brother (the woman was at work at the time), and then decided to take it for a drive. During the night of September 27–28, the 35-year-old rolled the car over in one of the parks, then abandoned the vehicle and fled.
The man did not inform his friend about what had happened. The victim thought that her car had been stolen and notified the police.
The 35-year-old admitted to the crime. He now faces up to five years in prison.
