On 26 September 2014, a ceremony marking the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Polish Underground State began with the national anthem. Songs referring to the wartime period were performed by: Ola Kiepura, Dorota Leszczyńska, Eliza Sondaj, Hania Druzgała and Ania Wroblewska, who also played the roles of Home Army soldiers. Przemek Kania prepared short lectures on the formation of the Polish underground in 1939–1941, presented in the style of Bogusław Wołoszański’s programme “Sensacje XX wieku”.

The performance was attended by: Mr Piotr Roman, Mayor of Bolesławiec; Mr Zdzisław Abramowicz, commander of the ZHP Hufiec im. Szarych Szeregów in Bolesławiec; Messrs Zbigniew Razik and Jan Filipek, Honorary Citizens of the City; members of the Towarzystwo Miłośników Lwowa i Kresów Południowo–Wschodnich, led by its president, Mr Michał Wojdyła; Ms Wiesława Olczyk, founder and manager of the University of the Third Age; and representatives of the “Carpe Diem” Teachers’ Club.

During the ceremony, awards were presented to the winners of the school history competition for a poster entitled “Activists and Commanders of the Polish Underground State.” First place went to Year 3c students Laura Łomotowska and Alicja Łacina, second place to Agnieszka Kaziów, while third place went to Aleksandra Kiepura and Daria Kuchmistrz from Year 3d. The ceremony was prepared by Anna Gorzkowicz, Justyna Rapa and Grzegorz Jankowski.
