Bogatynia police officers arrested two people (a 25-year-old woman and a 32-year-old man) suspected of stealing cosmetics worth more than PLN 600. The incident took place on September 25 at one of the shops in Bogatynia.
The man took a gift basket and left the shop without paying. Then the woman took the cosmetics. She headed for the exit, but a sales assistant noticed her. The employee was alone in the shop that day. She locked the exit door, intending to prevent the theft. She was then attacked and assaulted by the 25-year-old woman. The thief managed to escape.
The sales assistant notified the police. The suspects were apprehended by officers several minutes later. The 32-year-old man faces up to 5 years in prison, while the 25-year-old woman could face up to 12 years' imprisonment.
