– On November 1, very many passengers buy tickets from drivers, so buses are seriously delayed at certain times as a result. It will be better if we exempt passengers from fees and improve journeys this way, said Mayor Marcin Zawiła.
– The second such day should be September 22, commonly proclaimed Car-Free Day, the mayor continued. – This year, as a trial, we decided to exempt car drivers who had their vehicle registration certificate with them from having to buy tickets. I believe that exempting all passengers from fares will be an even more effective incentive to use public transport, and will promote this idea. We will observe and analyze the effects of these measures.
