The running route runs along both banks of the Bóbr River, between the bridge on Mostowa Street and the footbridge on Gdańska Street. The route is 4,321 m long and leads through the picturesque Bóbr Valley. “These areas are already very popular, especially on weekends. Now that we have a running path, Bolesławiec will be visited even more eagerly,” said Bolesławiec mayor Piotr Roman in an interview with Radio Wrocław—the initiator of the opening of the running path in Bolesławiec.
In the approximately 250 m Krasnal Race, Lena Głąb took first place among the girls, followed by Hanna Walęga and Klaudia Dul. In the boys’ category, Jakub Grzegorczyk took first place, Aleks Borejko came second, and Igor Smolarek finished third.
In the main 4,321 m race, Klaudia Petters won among the women, followed by Małgorzata Kochańka, while Mariola Zborowska and Karolina Rewińska tied for third place. Among the men, Maciej Kalawski was the fastest, Łukasz Chyła came second, and Dariusz Łomański finished third. Diplomas and commemorative medals were presented by Bolesławiec mayor Piotr Roman.
The opening of the path was accompanied by a rafting trip on the Bóbr and a Nordic walking outing by students of the University of the Third Age in Bolesławiec.
