Police officers from the second police station in Jelenia Góra arrested a 27-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra County who worked as a bartender at one of the hotels in the county. Several weeks ago, the hotel’s female director inadvertently left an electronic key card on the bar, allowing access to every room.
Using this card, the bartender broke into at least 6 rooms. All the crimes took place in September this year. The 27-year-old stole only money. The losses amount to several thousand zlotys.
In order not to jeopardize the hotel’s good reputation, its owner returned the stolen cash to the victims.
The suspect had previously been in conflict with the law. He now faces a prison sentence of up to 10 years.
