At 11:00 a.m., the Sybiraks’ Remembrance March set off from the Lower Secondary School in Jerzmanki (Zgorzelec municipality), taking place for the fourth time. The march participants proceeded to the Sybirak Monument at the municipal cemetery in Zgorzelec, where at 12:15 p.m. a ceremony commemorating the tragic events of years past and their victims began.
The ceremony was attended by Sybiraks, veterans, representatives of local government authorities and a large number of school students. The roll call of the fallen was read, and wreaths and bouquets were laid at the Sybirak Monument.
