The K-1 World Championships were held in London from 12 to 14 September. Superintendent Zbigniew Prych, Head of the Prevention Division of the Legnica Municipal Police Headquarters (and, at the same time, a combat sports coach), received from the organizers the gold medal for the best coach of the championships.
The competition was held to a very high standard, with 250 athletes from around the world taking part. All the fighters trained by the Legnica coach won gold medals in their respective weight categories.
