Each facility has created 15 new places for children in the youngest age groups, aged 3–4. The kindergartens provide care for the little ones on working days from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and also provide meals. At each facility, the children will take part in additional activities: English lessons (2.5 hours per week) and speech therapy (2 hours per week). Developmental activities incorporating corrective gymnastics have been planned at the kindergartens in Bożejowice and Kraśnik Dolny, while corrective and compensatory activities will be held at the kindergarten in Kruszyn.

The launch of the new kindergarten facilities was made possible by obtaining funding from European Union funds. The facility in Kruszyn was established as part of the “Kindergarten in Kruszyn: Close to Children and Families” project, the facility in Kraśnik Dolny as part of the “Joyful Kindergarten” project, and the new group in Bożejowice as part of the “My Kindergarten, My Chance for the Future” project.

All these projects, as activities promoting access to preschool education, are co-financed by the European Union under the European Social Fund (Priority IX: Development of Education and Competences in the Regions; Measure 9.1: Equalizing Educational Opportunities and Ensuring High-Quality Educational Services Provided within the Education System; Sub-measure 9.1.1: Reducing Inequalities in Access to Preschool Education).

EU funds not only made it possible for the youngest preschoolers to use full-day care, meals and a wide range of additional activities free of charge, but also enabled the existing rooms to be adapted for kindergarten use and comprehensively equipped with furniture, equipment, toys, teaching aids and educational materials. Although all three projects will continue until the end of June 2015, the equipment acquired during their implementation will serve the newly established kindergartens for years to come.
