The celebrations began with a festive Mass in the church, followed by a procession around the church. The remainder of the celebrations took place in the centre of the village. Local artists performed on stage, while nearby local non-governmental organisations and visitors who had come to the Fair presented their activities.
There was no shortage of attractions in Działoszyn that day: vocal concerts by folk groups and young talents, creative and artistic workshops, and painting, collectors’, souvenir and handicraft exhibitions were just some of the many activities prepared and presented. The “flea market” was undoubtedly another of the Fair’s many attractions. Above all, the Fair aimed to promote regional artists, handicraft makers, enthusiasts and collectors.
The organisers of the Fair were Stowarzyszenie Królewska Dolina – Górnołużycki Działoszyn, which has operated in the northern part of our municipality only since July this year. This was the first event of such scale integrating the local community, organised by its members in cooperation with the village councils of Działoszyn, Posada and Wyszków, as well as the Rural Housewives’ Circles, Senior Clubs and members of the Volunteer Fire Service.
Stowarzyszenie Królewska Dolina – Górnołużycki Działoszyn extends its heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped organise the event.
