A year ago, Zgorzelec had a wonderful time reading Fredro. “Terrorized” by Papkin, the participants in the literary event, who came in large numbers to the open-air reading room set up in Przedmieście Nyskie, were happy to share their favourite books by reading selected excerpts aloud. It was a truly successful literary gathering, and its organizers, the Municipal Public Library and the Municipal Cultural Centre, believe that this success can be repeated on September 6, when, together with the whole of Poland, we reach for Sienkiewicz’s Trilogy.

This year, the place that will serve as Zgorzelec’s open-air literary salon is the Rev. Jerzy Popiełuszko Square. We will begin reading the Trilogy at 4:00 p.m.. We will be assisted by Jacek Grondowy and Robert Mania, actors from the Cyprian Kamil Norwid Theatre in Jelenia Góra!
