Graham Masterton is a British writer best known as an author of horror fiction. His body of work also includes thrillers, disaster novels, novellas for children, short stories, as well as historical sagas and advice books for adults.
During Thursday’s meeting, attendees will have the opportunity to buy the author’s latest book, “Dom much,” and obtain his autograph on its pages!
The Polish premiere is not scheduled until June 17, 2025, and Bolesławiec will be the first place in Poland where the author personally presents his work to readers. He will be accompanied by the novel’s translator, Piotr Kuś.
Masterton made his debut as a horror author in 1976 with the book “Manitou,” which was made into a film of the same title two years later. Since then, Graham has published more than 40 horror novels and received awards for the following books:
“Kostnica” (“Charnel House”) – Special Edgar from the Mystery Writers of America
“Zwierciadło piekieł” (“Mirror”) – Silver Medal from the West Coast Review of Books,
“Wizerunek zła” (“Family Portrait”) – for which he received the Prix Julia Verlanger as the only non-French writer.
In addition to these awards, Graham Masterton has received numerous other honors for his short stories and novels. Three of his short stories were filmed for Tony Scott, creator of the television series “The Hunger.” In total, Graham Masterton has written more than 150 books, which have been translated into 18 languages and published in 27 million copies!
Masterton currently writes regularly for magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Men’s Health, Woman, Woman’s Own, and even Poland’s Nowa Fantastyka. The author lives in Surrey, England, and has many personal connections to Poland. He has three sons—his wife Wiescka (Wiesława) was the child of Polish emigrants; she died in 2011.
