In the early hours of the last day of the year, the Bolesławiec fire service was notified about smoke coming from the roof of Gospoda Kruszyna. The fire service was alerted by a bus driver travelling towards Legnica. Three crews from the Rescue and Firefighting Unit in Bolesławiec went to the scene.
The fire was extinguished after more than two hours. Volunteer fire brigades from Różyniec and Tomaszów Bolesławiecki also took part in extinguishing the burning roof. The cause of the fire is not yet known. It is known that the fire broke out on the roof of the building, at a height of 8–9 metres above the ground. The losses amount to approximately PLN 25,000.
