The land under the care of WSSE “INVEST- PARK” is particularly attractive because of the tax relief system. – The idea arose in response to numerous investor inquiries about this land – said Tomasz Gabrysiak, the president’s plenipotentiary for investment. – If they are incorporated into WSSE, they will be handed over to logistics companies and those providing storage-related services.
On 30 July, the City Council adopted a resolution “on consenting to the inclusion within the boundaries of the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone INVEST-PARK of plots numbered: 10/12, 10/13, 10/14, 17/1, 31 in the Bolesławiec-1 precinct”. The document’s justification states: “In order to provide investment plots for new investors – particularly those involved in logistics, packaging, and warehousing and storage services – it is necessary to expand the boundaries of the Bolesławiec Subzone to include areas which, due to their location and the designation specified in the local spatial development plan of the city of Bolesławiec, are suitable for conducting the aforementioned types of business activity.”
The Bolesławiec municipality is one of 44 locations of “INVEST-PARK”; it covers approximately 70 hectares, of which around 50 hectares are still awaiting development. However, according to Tomasz Gabrysiak, many companies have already made preliminary reservations for land.
So far, 7 companies have decided to start operations in this county. Interest in land in Bolesławiec increased over the past six months, a record period due to the number of permits issued by WSSE to conduct business in the special zone. Of the 65 companies, as many as two decided to invest in this area. This should come as no surprise – the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone ranks fourth in Europe and 22nd in the world in the prestigious “fDi Magazine” ranking. It is one of more than 3,000 existing zones.
