Bolesławiec police officers celebrated their holiday on Monday, July 21. At 7:00 a.m., a Mass was held at the Bolesławiec Marian Basilica for police officers, police employees and their families, and at 10:00 a.m. a ceremony began at the Old Theatre. Among those attending were First Deputy Provincial Police Commander Insp. Zygmunt Skwierawski, Bolesławiec County Deputy Starosta Stanisław Chwojnicki, and Iwona Mandżuk-Dudek, Deputy Mayor of Bolesławiec.

In his speech, Bolesławiec County Police Commander Insp. Henryk Stefanko recalled the history of the establishment of the State Police and thanked representatives of local governments, institutions and commanders of neighboring units for their excellent cooperation. Insp. Henryk Stefanko also congratulated all officers who had been promoted or honored.

In the individual corps, 64 officers were promoted, 2 police officers received awards from the Chief Commander of the Police, 7 uniformed officers received monetary awards from the Provincial Police Commander, and 131 police officers received awards from the County Police Commander.

In addition, during the ceremony, the Bolesławiec County Police Commander honored two employees (Barbara Kurkiewicz and Mieczysław Kwaśnik) and formally thanked Zofia Trzcińska for her years of service as she retired.

Furthermore, on July 23, additional distinctions will be presented at the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław on the occasion of Police Holiday: police employee Andrzej Paszko will receive a gold medal for long service in the civil service corps, while Staff Aspirant Wiesław Kobak will receive a silver one.

Moreover, the bronze “Meritorious Police Officer” badge will be awarded to:

  • superintendent Adam Frączek
  • senior aspirant Krystian Karolik
  • senior aspirant Rafał Kurz
  • senior aspirant Krzysztof Kwiatkowski.
