Using very simple stage effects (a black outfit and spot lighting), Edyta Geppert enchanted the audience with interpretations of songs from several of her albums. She began the recital with the songs “Rimbaud – My Guardian Angel,” “My Kingdom” and the well-known song “Pocieszanka, nie płacz maleńka.”
After introducing her team: her husband, actor, teacher and recital scriptwriter Piotr Loretz, and musicians Piotr Matuszczyk and Jerzy Szarecki, the artist performed songs from the albums “Questions to the Moon” and “I Believe in the Song.”
The audience greatly enjoyed the short satirical programme prepared by Edyta Geppert and Piotr Loretz, which dealt with relationships between women and men. The artist brilliantly interpreted Hemar’s satirical texts, in which, as a wife, she complained about husbands who, because of their lack of time, drive their partners into extramarital relationships with men who are more available.
In the ironic song “This Won’t Sell, Ms Geppert,” the artist summed up her remarkable thirty years on stage. She ended the concert with her great hit “O life, I love you above life” and—called back by the audience’s applause—sang several encores, including the beautiful song “I Don’t Have to Do Anything.”
The concert was organized by Agencja Koncertowo-Wydawnicza SOLO.
