Six works created at the Akademia Sztuki art studio run by Stanisława Wojda-Pytlińska at BOK-MCC won prizes in an international competition in Japan. The competition organisers also expressed their appreciation to the young winners’ guardian and artistic mentor, Stanisława Wojda-Pytlińska.
During a City Council session, councillors, the mayor and the director of BOK-MCC congratulated the winners and their teacher on the awards they received in the prestigious art competition.
Five-year-old Julia Piaseczna received Supreme Gold, the highest distinction, at the 44th Pentel International Art Competition for her work “Cats”. The other winners were: ten-year-old Karolina Grabas, who won the Pentel Prize; a gold medal went to seven-year-old Hanna Kozioł; eight-year-old Karolina Guzowska and ten-year-old Marta Kozłowska won silver. Eleven-year-old Ida Sałek received bronze.
The competition was organised by the Japan Foundation for the Promotion of Art in cooperation with Pentel, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan, the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Yomiuri Shimbun, the Japan Federation of Artistic Design and the Japanese Art Education Association.
A total of 12,709 children from around the world entered this year’s international competition. Poland submitted 903 works, of which only 127 drawings received awards.
The editorial team of the Istotne Informacje website and newspaper congratulates Stanisława Wojda-Pytlińska on her students’ successive winning works, congratulates the young artists on their victory, and congratulates the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre–International Ceramics Centre on its excellent studio.
