The holidays are fast approaching, and for this time Bolesławiec Cultural Centre-International Ceramics Centre has prepared an attractive programme for children, young people and even adults. Experienced instructors are waiting for you in fully equipped dance, music, visual arts, photography and film studios, while in July Forum cinema will host a summer film review.
Classes will be held at BOK-MCC and at the “Orzeł” Cultural Integration Centre. All classes are free. Places are limited. Registration is available at the Tourist and Cultural Information Point, tel. 75645 32 90. Details:
- Vocal activities – at the beginning of July, Vocal Studio instructor Barbara Lendzian invites you to the “Meeting with Songs of the Last Century” workshop, while at the beginning of August the “Summer Vocal Workshop” will be led by Agata Pińczuk-Burdzy
- Dance activities – in July: Paweł Klimek will introduce children and young people to the basics of breakdance; with Agnieszka Podłaszczyk, our young participants will not be bored during aerobics classes for children, while girls and women will be swept away by the magic of oriental dance with Alicja Kowal. During the two summer months, the excellent instructor Elwira Janitzki, who runs a dance school in Berlin, invites you to classes in classical belly dance, Persian dance and Romani dance. In August, modern hip-hop dance classes will be led by Katarzyna Tomczyk-Jakubowska
- Visual arts – in July, children and young people will develop their manual skills in three studios: at the Glass and Stained-Glass Studio, Magdalena Konieczna will teach them collage; at the Ceramics and Sculpture Studio, under the guidance of Edyta Orlińska, they will work under the summer theme “Our little sun, brighten your face…”, while at the Visual Arts Studio, Stanisława Wojdy-Pytlińska will lead workshops entitled “The Tower of Babel”
- Film and photography – at CIK Orzeł, beginning in August, enthusiasts of the camera will be able to attend classes at the Film Studio led by Michał Szwed, as well as pinhole photography classes led by Grzegorz Sidorowicz.
At Forum cinema, every Thursday in July, there will be two series in the summer film review. At noon, always at 12:15 p.m., we will screen favourite films of young audiences and outstanding animated films: “The Kings of Summer”, “The Best Worst Weekend Ever”, “Planes”, “Bend It Like Beckham”, “Mr. Peabody & Sherman” and in the evening, always at 9:00 p.m., the series Music Legends: brilliant music and extraordinary personalities on the big screen: “Marley”, “The Doors. When You’re Strange”, “The Rolling Stones. Shine a Light”, “Berlin. Lou Reed”, “Metallica: Through the Never 3D”. Admission is only PLN 10 per screening. In addition, the current programme includes summer premieres and films for children, young people and adults.
