As reported on the Nowogrodziec Municipal Office website, “if anyone still thinks that they can leave waste in places not designated for this purpose with impunity, they are very much mistaken. Municipal guards in Gmina Nowogrodziec have a small device which, hidden in a secluded location, records everything that happens nearby.”
“Wildlife cameras”—installed, following numerous reports from local residents, in other municipalities across Poland and in forests—have allowed municipal guards and police officers to catch many people red-handed who regularly dumped waste in public places (including on road verges, in forests and on wasteland) or left it haphazardly beside containers for the separate collection of municipal waste.
