The aim of the half-day camps is to teach children how to sail Optimist and Cadet class boats. Optimist is the most popular yacht class in the world; these sailboats are very safe, and all activities on the water take place with children wearing life jackets. A motorboat with a qualified coach-instructor provides safety cover for the sailing boats.
Our training program was created based on previous experience working with children and providing sailing training. In addition to learning how to sail, the children learn about maritime customs and ceremony, the principles of safe recreation near the water, and how to use rescue equipment.
The staff consists of sailing instructors, lifeguards and teachers.
Activities take place at the Yacht Clubu Bolesławiec base by the Krępnica reservoir. The program includes recreational and arts activities. Participants: children from 7 to 12 years of age. Meals are provided. The ability to swim is required; no sailing experience is necessary.
