The International Ceramic and Sculpture Symposium is the only ceramic symposium in Poland to have been held continuously for 50 years. It is a prestigious event not only on Poland’s cultural map, but also on the world stage. It effectively promotes the achievements of outstanding ceramicist-sculptors from Poland and abroad.

We already encourage you to visit the BOK-MCC Gallery, where until the end of the week you can see an exhibition presenting selected works from our collections, created during symposia editions 37, 38, 40, 42 and 46.

From 2 to 27 June, participants will once again create their works at three Bolesławiec-based plants: ZC „BOLESŁAWIEC” Sp. z o.o., „Ceramika Artystyczna” Artistic Handicraft Cooperative and the „Manufaktura” Stoneware Factory, general partnership Smoleński & Zwierz.

The symposium is organised by the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre-International Ceramics Centre and the Municipality of Bolesławiec. Media patronage of the event is provided by the magazine „Szkło i Ceramika”.

The 50th International Ceramic and Sculpture Symposium in Bolesławiec is being carried out as part of the ARGINET project, co-financed by the European Union under the Culture programme.

The project aims to promote dialogue and intercultural exchange in Europe through a system of innovative international cooperation activities involving cultural operators from the ceramics sector. The project’s implementation will enable greater mobility and the transnational dissemination of the achievements and experience of individual partners in the fields of artistic ceramics and ceramic craftsmanship. ARGINET proposes introducing, within the existing network of events, an exchange and development programme promoting the participation of artists and ceramic activities on a European scale.
