The Polish Junior Olympic Taekwondo Championships took place on Saturday, May 10, at the AZS sports hall in Łódź. Four taekwondo athletes from LMKS Gladius Bolesławiec took part in the competition. The athletes from Bolesławiec won two bronze medals in their respective weight categories. The following athletes stood on the lowest podium step: Kinga Rusinek (in the women’s +68 kg category), for whom this was her second appearance at a championship-level event (after last year’s Polish Open), and Dawid Poznański (-45 kg), who was making his debut in the junior age category.

In addition to the medalists, Matusz Boczarski (-59 kg) and Marcin Skiba (-73 kg) also competed, finishing in the top ten of their respective weight categories in the final standings.

For LMKS Gladius, this was a successful medal-winning return in this age category; last year, the athletes from Bolesławiec failed to win a medal at the Polish Junior Championships.

The club has two more events at the Polish championship level coming up soon. The first will be held as part of the National Youth Olympics in Wrocław – Younger Juniors (preceded by zonal qualifiers), and the second will be the Polish Youth Championships for athletes aged 18–21. Both events will take place in June.
