11-year-old Oliwia Ziembikiewicz, representing the Gladiator Bolesławiec Combat Sports Club – as the only female athlete in the country! – was called up to the Polish national team for the world championships in Thai boxing, which are taking place in Malaysia. As we can read on the website of the Polish Muay Thai Association, our fighter won a silver medal there and the title of world vice-champion. In the final bout, she lost on points to Malaysia’s Borhan Nurul Suahirah.

This was not the only success for Gladiator athletes from Bolesławiec. On 4 May, the Western Poland MMA Cup took place in Wrocław. Piotr Płotka won a bronze medal in the -73 kg category.
