Microchipping involves implanting an electronic device under a dog’s skin. This is intended to enable the quick and simple identification of the animal and its owner. For a dog owner to have the animal microchipped free of charge, several conditions must be met. The dog’s owner must live or conduct business within the city. They must also have proof of payment of the dog ownership tax or proof of exemption from paying this tax. Microchipping and registering dogs is mandatory.
Until the end of November, dogs can be microchipped free of charge at veterinary clinics at 11 Konstytucji 3 Maja Street, 23B Piastów Street, 37 Kraszewskiego Street and 52 in Bożejowice. Dogs can be registered at the Municipal Police headquarters at 13 Mikołaja Brody Street in Bolesławiec.
