The ZUS branch in Legnica reports that fake emails are being circulated online, with the sender impersonating the Social Insurance Institution. As Emilia Nowakowska from the Legnica ZUS branch explains, the institution does not send information about benefit settlements by email.
Emails sent by ZUS always come from the zus.pl domain (the sender’s address ends in @zus.pl).
At the same time, ZUS warns that fake emails contain attachments whose opening may infect the computer with a virus.
